News: cloudcomputing congress Europe 2010

Well for quite some time I’ve been thinking about whether to attend the conference. As per the website the advantages of attending the conference are:

February, 2009

SecPro seminary 2009

I am invited to SecPro, a security seminary targeting board members and executives; to talk about security trends in the current challenging economy. The seminary takes place in Trondheim (Norway) March 20. Other speakers include Jon Bing, Renate Thorud (Datatilsynet) and Hans Marius Tessem (Norsis). Will you come too? If so, let me know!

Happy week to you :)

New security blog on the block: SecTech

Mourad Ben Lakhoua is a new blogger in the security bloggers area. His blog SecTech is focusing on IT-security and is fairly technical. However, his writing style is clear and easy to follow also for non-technical people.

I particularly like the fact that Mourad seem to have great sources of vulnerabilities.

Welcome to blogging, Mourad!

PC Mag: Test of security suits for 2009

PC Mag have tested some of the major security suites on the market today. You may find it of interest.

Personally, I would have liked to see Nod32 / Eset Smart Security on that test bench too, as the reason I started to use Nod32 / Eset tools some years back was the very fact that it was quicker than the rest, and still did the job. At least that is how I perceived it with my not-so-scientific tests!

What are your preferred security suit? Do you use the same suite at your office and home? How do you evaluate and choose your suite?
