Interim Market Report - July 2010

Barclay Simpson Market Report 2010 Midway through 2010 the recovery in the corporate governance recruitment market that was evident at the start of the year is now firmly established. As recruitment consultants we have been genuinely surprised at the strength of the recovery. The recovery is focused on the financial sector and is a result of both renewed growth in the sector and greater regulatory oversight. Investment in corporate governance has clearly become a priority.

Security Bloggers Network goes Black hat

The Black Hat Security Blogger NetworkI have been a proud member of the Security Bloggers Network for a while now, and I am proud to see the development in content and quality amongst my peers and myself during this period. I have also been lucky enough to make a few new friends, and obviously I have grown my readership as well.

Thus, it is with a great pleasure I notice the rebranding - welcome the Black Hat Security Bloggers network!

According to the information I have recieved, there are some interesting synergies to note - including a SBN flier for all Black Hat attendees! Now, that will drive readers, no doubt about it!

Make sure you explore the other blogs in the network too - they span from incredibly technical stuff, via more woolen blogs like mine, and to dedicated compliance & privacy blogs.

A few of my own favorites include:

* RiskAnalys.is

* Rob Newby - IT-Security, the view from here

* Andy, IT-guy

* Anton Chuvakin

* Darknet

A few that really stand out, with deep knowledge and great humour are:

* Grumpy Security guy

* Layer8

When I am in need of a laugh, I pop over there!

And deep inside, there is geek in everyone. I feed mine over here:

* Hack a day

* Flylogic hardware security hacking blog

Enjoy :)

Not so secure at all

I liked this article.But its not that easy to block bloggers now a days.

Nice comment.

At present, the Black Hat CFP lists more than 80 submissions. The submission period will continue through May 1, when final selection will begin. Approved talks will then be programmed into a dozen topic-based tracks, including Zero Day, Zero Day Defense, Application Security 1.0/2.0, Bots and Stuff, Covert, Deep Knowledge, Forensics & Anti-Forensics, Hardware, the Network, New Hotness, Over the Air (OTA), Privacy and Anonymity, and Turbo Talks. A new track, Un-Track, will be an opportunity for attendees and presenters to talk after a session, and was tested after sessions in Washington, D.C. Moss also hinted that future improvements to the Black Hat site may include online forums.
