Transpolitical discussions of the Middle east

I have a very good friend in Beirut. This friend lives in an hostile environment, an environment I am not able to imagine. Last time we met, was in June 2006 - a great time when we discussed current politics and future options of Lebanon and the middle east in general.

A few weeks later, hell broke loose again. I was worried sick. How they are able to survive mentally during a war, I have now idea what so ever.

I belive it is very important to bring understanding and trust to the world. Yes, I keep on telling you to take precausions - to protect your most valuable assets. Because the fact of the world is we are not able to trust everyone - there is allways someone out there wanting the worst of us. But - to make friends and build trust - you need to know more, and you need to care more. You have to ask questions and listen to the answer.

My friend in Lebanon has made this website. Currently, my friend prefers to be anonymous. Which is hard for me to understand - as I am living in Norway - with no threats to my meanings and thoughts. At some point in the future, I hope it is safe for my friend to be public. To be open.

In the meanwhile, lets make sure the insights brought us from Beirut is made to good use. Lets focus on peace in the middle east.
